Two Days Away: Updated First Round 2013 NFL Mock Drafts

Our good friend Patrick Woo, the Sports Director for Penn State's ComRadio (PSU's student-run radio station), submitted us his first round mock draft last week. We posted it, but since then he has made some adjustments to it.

In addition, we have come up with our own mock draft for Thursday evening's first round. With less than two days until commissioner Roger Goodell gets the draft underway at Radio City Music Hall in NYC, here is how we––and Patrick––think the first round will unfold.

First Round Breakdown:

All-Out Blitz's Mock

QB: 1
RB: 1
WR: 4
TE: 0
OT: 4
G: 2
C: 0
DT: 5
DE: 5
LB: 5
CB: 3
S: 2

Patrick Woo's Mock

QB: 1
RB: 0
WR: 3
TE: 0
OT: 5
G: 2
C: 0
DT: 4
DE: 5
LB: 6
CB: 3
S: 3

Aside from the three picks that were identical (No. 1, No. 3 and No. 6), our mock has some pretty big differences in comparison to Patrick's. We believe that the Eagles will select Smith No. 4, rather than picking a replacement for Nnamdi Asomugha with Alabama's CB Dee Milliner. This is likely Michael Vick's last season with the team, and Smith's playing style fits new head coach Chip Kelly's offensive scheme.

Woo has Nassib as his top quarterback with Smith not even being taken in the first round, just like his previous mock.

Patrick has a huge college football background and is more knowledgable within the college game than we are at the All-Out Blitz, so we trust his judgement with Smith. We just don't see him falling quite as far as others feel that he will slide on Thursday night.
